Old Bellingham Victorian Gets New Life With New Paint
One of the biggest exterior projects we've tackled! The finished project (house and garage) had NINE different colors. The old color scheme was dark and the home faded into the surroundings in the Columbia neighborhood where trees and foliage dominate. The owner (with the help of her designer) chose a cheerful color scheme based on a bright yellow. The new paint shows off all the architectural details plus it really catches your attention when you drive by.
Puget Neighborhood Home Exterior - Before & After
We just wrapped up our first major exterior painting project this year. Check out the before and after of this Puget neighborhood house in Bellingham.
The homeowner wanted to make a color change - the house sits in a neighborhood of mostly tan houses. But she still wanted to preserve a natural color scheme that fits in with the feel of the area. The darker color on the siding now contrasts well with the off-white trim and shows off the architectural details of the house. Paint used is Sherwin Williams Duration satin finish - 'Cocoon' on the siding, 'Muslin' on the trim. This is a great paint for the Pacific Northwest - it holds up well to our weather. Exterior Painting & Staining - Semiahmoo Home
We should have taken some 'before' photos so you could see what this beautiful home looked like before we power washed it! The entire exterior was either painted or stained. The plank and shake siding areas and soffits were stained with Cabot semi-transparent oil-based stain, and the fascia and trim were done in Sherwin Williams Duration exterior paint. |
Exterior Painting & Staining - Three-Story 'Gingerbread' House
This unique home was finished in a variety of colors of both paint and semi-transparent stains and included the siding, trim, decks, stairs, rails, and porch ceiling. This was an extended project, and by the time we finished the dog thought we were part of the family. |
