Other than peel-and-stick, we can hang just about any wall covering, even textiles
Wall coverings run the gamut of standard vinyl and paper, commercial-width (54" vinyl), grass cloth, sisal, borders, and other materials. Custom-cut borders are also available. And for high-traffic institutional or commercial applications, we also install Acousticord wall carpet.
If it can be pasted down, chances are it can be hung as a wall covering. One particular homeowner had a favorite textured fabric that we were able to hang, and it looks great on her bathroom wall. |

This type of wall covering is actively marketed to the do-it-yourselfer crowd as an 'easy' alternative to regular wall coverings that require pasting and trimming. But we can tell you that wall covering is rarely 'easy,' even for experienced professionals like our team.
For this particular project, the walls were properly prepped, and standard professional wall covering installation techniques were used. Photo shows what happened within a hour of installing it. Once a peel-and stick paper comes off the wall, there is no way to put it back up and have it stick. It's basically contact paper, and wall covering adhesives won't work because there is no backing for the paste to adhere to. |

A simple wall area measurement isn't enough. How much paper you will need depends on a variety of factors, including window and door openings, cut-arounds around built-ins, and length needed for matching the pattern in the paper. Due to the cabinetry and fixtures, kitchens and baths require more yardage than straight walls in other rooms.

Custom Mural Installation Is One of Our Specialties

Mural installation is similar to wallpaper. And it's not. Most murals are produced in sections, which must be carefully aligned when hung. We have installed murals in every size and configuration - from one section of a wall in a small kitchen to an entire back wall in a casino restaurant. The video below is a peek at what it's like to install a mural working off a platform in a tight space with lots of cuts.
Getting mural panels lined up correctly is critical to their appearance - there is no leeway. If it's off just a hair, the picture is distorted. We've done enough of these that we really have it down to a science, though. Although this undersea mural to the right looks like one image, it's made up of several strips that needed to be aligned.

The project shown here reflects the owner's desire to have a 'north woods' theme in her bedroom. The wallpaper rolls were hung horizontally rather than vertically, producing the appearance of a log wall.

We also custom-cut borders from other wall coverings, if you can't find one you like. Here, the border was hung at the flat edges of the ceiling (one end of the bedroom is a gable, and we chose not to hang the border at an angle).
